About Gaspr

The short version

Gaspr is a social party game about making your friends laugh.

You get a prompt. You write the funniest answer you can. Everyone votes on the best one. The funnier you are, the more Gasps you earn. That's it — quick, silly, and built for people who already know each other.

How it works

You play in a small group of friends called a House. Each round — a Haunt — everyone answers the same prompt with a Response, then votes for the answers that landed. A vote is a Gasp, and Gasps are how funny gets counted. Earn enough and your standing rises. Your little ghost — your Ghost — is how you show up in the House.

No essays, no setup, no rules to memorise. Open it with your friends, riff for a few minutes, find out who's actually the funniest.

What we care about

• Friends first. Gaspr is best with people you know. It's built for your group chat energy, not for strangers.
• Comedy first. Dark, daft, clever, absurd — whatever makes your House laugh. We keep the ghost theme light so the app reads as funny, not spooky.
• Status is earned, not bought. The recognition you get comes from being funny. Cosmetics let everyone look like someone, but they never buy you a higher standing.
• Be funny, not cruel. The good kind of edgy is welcome. Bullying isn't. (See our Community Guidelines.)

Who's behind it

Gaspr is made by Platr, an independent studio based in the UK. We're a small team who care a lot about getting the feel right.
