Community Guidelines

Last updated: 14 June 2026

Gaspr is a comedy game. The whole point is to make your friends laugh. Dark, silly, absurd, and edgy humour all belong here — but a joke and an attack aren't the same thing, and these guidelines are where we draw that line.

These guidelines are part of our Terms of Service. Breaking them can mean your content is removed and your account is suspended or banned.

The one rule that matters most

Be funny, not cruel.

Punch at the prompt. Punch at the absurd. Punch at yourself. Don't punch down at a real person to hurt them. If your "joke" only works because it's humiliating someone, it's not the kind of funny Gaspr is for.

What's not allowed

No matter how it's framed as a joke, don't post:

The edgy-humour grey area

We get that comedy lives near the edge, and we'd rather have a sharp app than a sterile one. A good test: is the target the idea, or is it a real, specific person being hurt? Riffing on a ridiculous prompt is the game. Using a Response to bully someone in your House is not.

When something's borderline, we lean toward keeping the joke and removing the cruelty.

Voting and standing

Gasps are votes — your honest reaction to what's funniest. They're also how recognition is earned in Gaspr. Don't try to rig that: no vote-trading, no alt accounts, no automation. Status here is earned, not bought or farmed.

When you see something

We review reports and act based on these guidelines, not on how many people complained.

What happens if you break the rules

Depending on what happened, we may remove content, limit features, suspend an account, or ban it. The most serious things — anything involving minors, credible threats, or coordinated abuse — can mean an immediate, permanent ban.
